Before use
To prevent hazards, verify the device,
the mains plug and the mains cable are
complete and in good condition after
unpacking to eliminate any damage.
Your glass kettle is packaged to protect it from trans-
port damage.
Carefully remove the device from the retail pack.
Remove all packaging.
Completely unwrap the mains cable
4
.
Remove any residual packaging dust from the
device and all accessories as specified in chap-
ter “Cleaning and Care“.
Set up the glass kettle near a protective ground
socket, ensuring it is freely accessible.
Furniture is now coated with a variety of paints and
plastics, and is treated with the most diverse of clean-
ers. It is therefore impossible to preclude some of
these substances may contain components which
would affect and soften the rubber feet of the housing.
If necessary, place a non-slip, heat resistant pad
under the glass kettle.
Please the base station

on a suitable surface.
Connect the device to the protective ground
socket.
Please boil water 2–3 times prior to first use.
To do so, fill the water reservoir to the MAX mark.
Pour out the water after each use and rinse the
water reservoir with clean water.
Always allow the water reservoir to cool to room

water. There otherwise is a risk of damage to
the health!
RISK of BuRnS! adding
too much water to the device poses a
risk of boiling over. This can result in
burns!

.
note:
The automatic shut-off will not work if the
safety lid
8
is not closed correctly.
Placing the glass kettle on
the centre contact station

can only be used
if the device is on the base station.
Press the ON / OFF switch

down in the po-
sition “|“. The device is switched on. It will now
start heating. Once the water is boiling the auto
shut-off will switch the device off. The shut-off
time depends on the amount of water added.
note:
Based on the function of the device, a
few drops of condensation may escape from
the discharge openings at the bottom of the de-
vice at the end of the boiling cycle. This is not a
sign the device is leaking but is due to the auto
shut-off and does not affect safety.
