Charging the batteries
WARNING
►
Switch the appliance off by pressing the On/Off switch

starting the charging process.
►
Do not switch on the appliance while charging it. If necessary, remove the
barrel plug of the mains adapter

from the mains connection and
close the lid

before you use the appliance.
The appliance runs on rechargeable lithium-ion batteries. Before using the
appliance for the first time, the batteries must be charged:

Flip open the lid

of the mains connection .

Plug the barrel plug of the mains adapter

directly into the mains connection
on the appliance, and plug the mains adapter
13
into a wall socket.
The charging LED
lights up red during charging. As soon as the batteries
are fully charged, the charging LED
turns green.
NOTE
►
If you switch on the appliance without the brush head holder

attached
before or during the charging process, the charging LED lights up green
for about 30 seconds. The appliance will not charge.
Switch off the appliance to start charging.
►
When charging is complete, which can take around 4–5 hours with fully
discharged batteries, the appliance automatically switches to a trickle
charge (maintenance function). To avoid possible damage to the batteries,
do not leave the appliance permanently
connected to the mains.
►
Only recharge the batteries when the power of the appliance is noticeably
weaker and the charging LED is flashing red.

Disconnect the mains adapter

from the appliance and close the lid

the mains connection .
Assembling the appliance

switch off the appliance before assembling or disassembling it.
You can use the appliance with or without the extension rod
