Before fi rst use
1) Remove the steam iron from the packaging.
2) Remove all stickers and protective foils from
the steam iron and from sole of the iron.
WARNING –
RISK OF ELECTRIC SHOCK!
Plastic bags can be dangerous. To avoid the
risks of asphyxiation, keep plastic bags out of the
reach of babies and toddlers.
3) Fill the water tank with water (See the chapter
"Filling the water tank").
4) Insert the plug into a mains power socket
supplying an electrical current as detailed
on the rating plate.
5) Set the temperature level to 9/MAX (see
chapter "Operation").
6) Heat the steam iron up for several minutes at
this highest setting.
7) Activate the steam blast button

times so that steam comes out of the sole of
the iron.
8) Then iron over a piece of unwanted material
to remove any residues possibly remaining on
the sole of the iron.
Filling the water tank
1) Place the steam iron on the base

2) Open the cover of the fi ller opening for the
water tank

3) Using the measuring beaker

, fi ll the water
tank with water to the "MAX" marking, but no
further.
4) Close the cover of the fi ller opening for the
water tank

NOTE
If the mains water in your area is rated as hard,
it is recommended that you mix the mains water
with some distilled water. Otherwise, the jets for
the steam blast function could calcify (become
blocked) prematurely.
To extend the optimal steam blast function, mix
mains water with distilled water according to the
table.
