Overheating protection
WARNING
As a general rule, there is a reason for overheating! It can
mean a risk of fi re!

Check that the appliance can suffi ciently dissipate the heat generated:
Is the appliance covered or is it too close to a wall or other obstacle?
Are the grilles on the front or back clear? Is the ventilator blocked?

If possible, eliminate the problem or contact the Service Hotline (see the
chapter
Service
).

Even if you cannot fi nd a cause, but the overheating protection triggers
a second time, you must return the appliance to Customer Services for
inspection or repair.
The appliance is fi tted with an overheating protector! If the appliance becomes
too hot internally, it switches itself off automatically. As soon as the appliance has
cooled itself down, the heating element switches itself back on.
Frost protection function
The appliance is equipped with a frost protection function which automatically
switches to the high heat output as soon as the room temperature falls below
6°C. As soon as the room temperature reaches 10°C the appliance automati-
cally switches to standby mode.

The appliance now switches on if the room temperature drops below 6°C. In the

then fl ashes.
Tilt cut-out
The appliance is fi tted with a safety switch

. If the fan heater tips over, it
switches itself off automatically. The fan heater can only be switched back on
when it is in an upright position and the safety switch

has been activated.
