4. Make sure that the Conveyostat
®
is properly earthed. To this end, connect the earthing point
of the Conveyostat
®
to the earthing point of the high voltage power unit.
Earthing is needed to ensure proper operation and to avoid electrical shocks upon contact.
6. Putting into use
The Conveyostat
®
is put into use by switching on the high voltage power unit (please refer to the
user’s manual of the high voltage power unit).
Attention:

Switch off the high voltage power unit when you do not use the
Conveyostat
®
.

This lengthens the service life.
7. Functional check
The equipment should be checked for proper operation by visual inspection. Material is no
longer allowed to stick to walls and/or to clot.
When you can get to the material, you can check for the absence of static charges using a
SIMCO electrostatic fieldmeter.
