(Mains-powered machines) Before connecting the
Multi-Tip
to a
mains supply ensure that the voltage and frequency of the supply
corresponds with the values on the rating plate. If in doubt consult a
qualified electrician.
The electrical safety of this machine can only be guaranteed when
continuity is complete between the machine and an effective earthing
system which complies with local and national regulations. The
manufacturer cannot be held liable for the consequences of an
inadequate earthing system (e.g. electric shock)
(Mains-powered machines) Do not use an extension lead to
connect to the mains electricity supply.
The standard batteries supplied have a life expectancy of 1 - 3 years
depending on the amount of use and the frequency of charging.
Frequent charging gives the best life and overall performance.
The battery is sealed and requires no maintenance.
Multi-Tip
bin-tippers are fitted with a 12-volt battery and an automatic
battery charger. As a rule of thumb a full charge is sufficient to empty
up to 5 tonnes of product, but this does depend on the tipping height
and age of the battery.
The battery status LED turns from green to red when there is
approximately 40% charge remaining, then starts flashing when the
charge drops to approximately 20%. Maximum battery life is obtained
with frequent charging and no harm whatever will result from
recharging every night.
To recharge the battery, simply plug the charging lead into the socket
on the side of the main box, and into a standard 110v or 240v outlet. A
full recharge takes around 3 hours.
