Description
The FM90 supports up to six measures on six channels. This page allows you to configure
the sensors so that the FM90 knows exactly what type of sensors are being used and
where they are located. Update rate and communication channels are also defined. The
channel number parameter is vital. The channel you choose must comply with the channel
programmed into the catch monitoring sensor. If these do not match, the communication
between the FM90 and the sensor will not work.

Sensor Properties
•
Update Rate
This parameter is used to select how often the FM90 can expect to receive
information from the sensor. A faster update rate gives you information more
often, but will decrease the battery life.
Tip
To change the update rate for a PI sensor, use the
PI Configurator
program.
•
Position
This setting defines the physical location of the catch monitoring sensor. For
sensors that measure roll or pitch, choose either
Port
or
Starboard
. For all other
measurements, set this value to
Other
.
Note
In the PI sensor status pane, sensor readings shown in a red rectangle indicates
a port location. A green rectangle indicates a starboard location. Orange is the
default colour.
