Modifying the voyage information
1.
In the
Navigation status
option, select your current navigation status from the drop
down list. In the
Type of cargo
option, select the type of voyage from the drop-down list.
2.
Enter the number of persons on board.
3.
Tick on the
Manual entry
checkbox and fill in the
Destination
and
ETA
fields.
The cargo types meet the AIS specifications and are define as follows:
•
DG: Dangerous Goods
•
HS: Hazardous Substances
•
MP: Marine Pollutants
There are four (4) levels of hazard:
•
Level 1: Major hazard (
A
)
•
Level 2: Hazard (
B
)
•
Level 3: Minor hazard (
C
)
•
Level 4: Recognizable hazard (
D
)
When
Manual entry
option is not selected, the Destination and ETA are automatically filled
in when a route is activated. The destination is the destination entered in the Route
properties and the ETA is continuously updated by ECDIS.
To send this information to AIS, open the Sensor Monitor, double click on the AIS
Transponder item, and click the
More settings
button. Tick on the
Send data to the
transponder
checkbox.

The transfer to AIS transponder is available if the ECDIS is interfaced with an AIS
transponder.
Enabling D.R.
1.
Click the
D.R.
tab to to display the Dead Reckoning dialog.
