Creating routes from tracks
The ECDIS900 enables mariners to create a route from any track.
1.
Select the track from which a route is to be created and select
Create route from track
from the pop-up menu.

Enter the recommended number similar below to minimize the number of waypoints and
to have a minimum distance between two waypoints:

Click the
OK
button to save.
Configuring alerts
Click the
Alerts
tab to display the
Alerts
dialog.
The
Alerts
dialog enables mariners to control the activation of alarms for different events.

The alert configurations are available for editing on the Monitoring station only.
Guard zone
Tick on/off the
Check safety zone and anchorage zone
to activate/deactivate this
function.
A safety zone can be set in front of the ship for automatic monitoring inside the defined zone
and the vessel’s crossing.
The zone is defined as a cone by an angle and a distance.
Set values for angle and distance to define the cone shape of the zone.
Dangers are highlighted by default and it is always highlighted when operating in the
Planning workstation.
If danger highlighting is off, the warning icon is displayed on the Legend panel.
