Verifying that operational power is correct
The SC90 operates on AC power from the vessel’s mains supply. Before you apply AC
power to any SC90 unit, you must verify the power is correct.
Prerequisites
Before you can do this task, the following prerequisites must be met:
• All SC90 hardware units have been installed according to the relevant instructions.
• All system cables have been installed.
• All connections have been made.
• All operating power is available.
• All relevant personnel (ships electrician) and tools (for example a voltmeter) are
available.
Procedure
1
For each SC90 unit that operates on AC mains:
a
Make sure that the unit is connected to AC mains.
b
Measure the voltage and the frequency in the power outlet.
c
Make sure that the relevant SC90 unit can operate on the power provided.

Make sure that each circuit breaker on the power circuit can handle the load when
the SC90 is turned on.
