Starting & Warm Up
When starting the motorcycle using the electric starter system, it should take no longer than approximately 5
seconds for the motorcycle to start. If the motorcycle is unable to start after 5 seconds, allow at least 10
seconds before the next attempt to start the motorcycle. After three attempts, visually inspect motorcycle.
Once started, always allow the motorcycle to warm up for a few minutes before setting off.
Carry out the starting and warmup protocol as follows:
1.
Turn the ignition key
to the ‘on’ position.
2.
Either select ‘N’ for neutral on the gear selectio
n or hold the clutch lever in until ready to set off.
3.
Press and hold the engine start button for up to 5 seconds.
4.
If starting the motorcycle in cold condition or after a long period without use, it may be necessary to rotate the
throttle by a small degree to aid the starting process.
5.
Once the engine has successfully started, allow the engine to idle for up to 5 minutes to properly warm. The engine
idle RPM should be approximately 1/- 100.
