After the apex locator is activated, a scale that proportionately indicates the
distance from the apex is displayed.
Motor:
Starts/stops the motor independently of the foot pedal.
Cal:
Attach the contra-angle handpiece to the micromotor. Make sure that no
file is inserted. Press "Cal" until the following image appears on the display:
The motor starts running automatically. An autocheck of the contra-angle
handpiece is then run to calculate the motor offset during rotation.
A calibration must be performed each time you lubricate or change the contra-
angle handpiece.
The calibration process can be canceled only by switching the unit off.
Auto stop on reaching the apex:
Press "Cal" briefly to deactivate or activate the automatic motor stop if the file
reached the apex. An

appears next to the apex locator stripe to indicate that
the motor, if running, will stop on reaching the apex.
Auto stop and auto reverse on
reaching the apex

Press "Cal" briefly again (
**
bottom left on display). The micromotor stops on
reaching the apex. If you then release the foot switch and actuate it a second
time, the motor will run counterclockwise to exit the canal.
If you then release the foot switch again and press it down one more time, the
motor will run clockwise again.
