Cutting method:
1.
Use the front left side cutting.
2.
Guide the blade from your right side to left with the head slightly tilted to your left.
3.
When moving in a wide area, start working on your left hand and try to avoid intermittent cutting.
4.
When cutting at low engine speeds or in grass that is too tall, the blade can be clogged with long
stems of grass. Set the engine speed and cutting depth according to the condition of the cutting
area.
WARNING:
If grass or other objects get stuck in the blade, or if the machine starts to shake or vibrate, turn
off the engine and check the entire brush cutter. If the blade is damaged, replace it. Before checking the blade,
switch off the engine and let it stop completely. If a foreign object is caught in the blade, remove it.
Controlling blade bounce:
Blade bounce can cause serious injury. So study this section carefully. It is essential that you understand the
risk of a flying knife, how you can reduce it and how to behave if the knife bounces.
What causes blade bounce:
The blade may bounce if the moving blade touches an object that it cannot cut. This contact will cause the
blade to stop moving immediately or bounce off the object that struck the blade. The user may lose control of
the brush cutter and the blade may cause serious injury to him or others.
How to reduce risk of blade bounce:
•
By recognizing the blade bounce, you will understand how to work better with the brush cutter and
how to eliminate the moment of surprise.
•
Only cut ordinary or stem grass. Do not allow the blade to come into contact with materials that it
cannot cut – such as hard stems, stones, hedges, steel, etc.
•
If you cut in areas with dense vegetation where you cannot see the blade, be fully prepared for the
blade to bounce.
•
Keep the blade sharp. A blunt blade increases the risk of it bouncing.
•
Avoid cutting thick vegetation too quickly. If the cutting capacity of the blade is exceeded, it will
bounce.
•
Cut only from your right side to the left.
•
Keep the path you are following clean.
How to maintain the best control:
•
Hold the machine firmly with both hands. A firm grip minimizes the risk of bouncing. Keep both
hands on the handles.
•
Keep both legs sufficiently apart. Don't overwork. Keep a good balance.
Cutting work (trimmer head usage):
1.
Always wear safety goggles. Never step in front of the rotating head. Stone or other objects may
be bounced into the face and cause injury.
2.
Always have the string head guard attached to the brush cutter when working.
