JUST WHAT IS LIGHT TREADING?
The fundamental objective of Light Treading is one of respect for where and how
you ride a snowmobile. You're a light treader when you follow the principles
below.

d. Obtain maps, regulations and other information from the
Forest Service or from other public land agencies. Learn the rules and follow
them and that goes for speed limits, too!

d running over young trees, shrubs, and grasses and don't cut wood. On
flatlands or areas where trail riding is popular, it's important to ride only where
authorized. Remember, there is a link between protecting your environment and
your own safety.

e and be particularly sensitive of animals that are rearing young
or suffering from food shortage. Stress can sap scarce energy reserves. Refrain
from riding in areas where only animals are intended to tread!

ers and other people's privacy. Remember, snowmobile technology has lowered
the noise factor considerably, but you still shouldn't rev your engines where quiet
