and one th at is d ifficult to control.

M ain causes of a full stall
• A poorly tim e d , or ove r-e xagge rate d input, w ith th e brak e s, w h e n th e w ing h as a re d uce d
air spe e d (e .g., w h e n com ing out of a spiral or w h e n th e paraglid e r is spe e d ing up afte r
a B-line stall).
• A build up of d roplets of w ate r on th e lead ing e d ge (from rain or cloud ) can re sult in
a stall d ue to d isrupte d airflow ove r th e lead ing e d ge . Th is h as be e n link e d to h igh leve ls
of porosity in glid e r fabrics.
