Installation
Before installation
Before installing the rack mount kit, observe these safety guidelines:

Turn off all peripheral devices connected to Skybox Appliance.

Turn off Skybox Appliance by pressing the Power button on the front of the
chassis, and then unplug the AC power cords from the chassis or wall outlet.

Label and disconnect all peripheral cables and all telecommunications lines
connected to I/O connectors or ports on the back of the chassis.

Provide electrostatic discharge (ESD) protection by wearing an antistatic wrist
strap attached to a chassis ground—any unpainted metal surface—when
handling components.
Required tools and supplies

Phillips (cross head) screwdriver (#1 bit and #2 bit)
›
(Recommended) Antistatic wrist strap and conductive foam pad
Installation
To install Skybox, refer to the installation instructions included with the rack
mount kit.
STARTING SKYBOX APPLIANCE
To start the Appliance

Connect the AC power cords to the AC connectors on Skybox’s back panel and
connect the other ends to a power supply.
Note: You can use Skybox with either 110 or 220 volt power.
