Loading/Unloading
2.13 Loading and Transporting
Know all national, state/provincial and local rules which
apply to transporting of telehandlers.
Only qualified personnel shall operate machinery
during loading and transporting.
Be sure vehicle capacity and loading equipment
hoists, chains, straps, etc., are sufficient to withstand
maximum telehandler weight.
The transport vehicle must be parked on a level
surface and must be secured to prevent rolling while
telehandler is being loaded or unloaded.
impORTANT
All turbo-engines air cleaner and exhaust
must be sealed during transport.
2.13-1 Loading and Tie-down
Ensure telehandler is level prior to loading.

Fully lower and retract boom and raise outriggers

Ensure ramps are correctly positioned.

Using a spotter, carefully drive telehandler onto

the transporting vehicle.
Once telehandler is loaded, apply parking

brake and rest the attachment flat on the vehicle
platform.
Move all controls to neutral position.

Turn key switch to “

” off position and remove
key before transporting.
Chock telehandler wheels (if necessary).

Remove all loose items.

Anchor down telehandler to transport surface
