Lay the glider out so that the leading edge forms an arch with the middle of the canopy at the
highest point. That way the A-lines in the middle will be tensioned first while inflating. The wing will
inflate evenly and this will ensure an easier and more stabile launch.
Separate and sort the lines and risers carefully. If the risers are not twisted, the brake lines should
run freely through the grommets to the trailing edge of the wing. All lines should be free of entan-
glements and knots from the risers to the canopy. Knotted lines usually can’t be fixed during
flight!
The brake lines will lie directly on the ground, so make sure that they can’t get caught on anything
during launch. Make sure that no lines are lying underneath the canopy. A line-over situation can
be extremely dangerous!

Launching the skywalk JOIN´T3 is easy and forgiving.
Hold the two A-risers and the brake handles in your hands. For better orientation and control, the
A-lines and covers are marked with different colors. Pay attention to the various colors in the dif-
ferent levels (see table on page 36).
Hold your arms to the side and stretched back slightly like an extension of the A-risers. Before
launching, check once more the laid out glider, the wind direction and the air space. Walk for-
ward firmly so that the glider can rise consistently. The light canopy will inflate quickly and reliab-
ly and will rise over the pilot without delay even with no wind. When the glider’s pull during inflation
lets off a bit, use a little brake to keep the wing above your head and make any necessary course
corrections. Collapsed cells can be opened by pumping the brake on the affected side. Perform
a final visual control to be certain that the canopy is fully inflated and that no lines are tangled.
Don’t make the final decision to launch or to start the acceleration phase until you are sure that
everything is OK.
When reverse launching or launching in a strong wind, the glider may surge forward more strongly
or you may lift off earlier than expected. For reverse launches we recommend using only the front
A-risers. The wing will inflate somewhat more slowly and the internal pressure during a high-wind
launch will develop more slowly.
Launching in very strong winds should be avoided out of consideration to the passenger.

The skywalk JOIN´T3 is highly maneuverable, reacts quickly to control inputs, and lets you control
your bank angle easily using the brakes. While turning, you can optimally control speed, turning ra-
dius and bank angle with a little outside brake. The most effective way to change these parame-
