Technical Description
10.2 Tolerance
The individual string currents are detected per group and compared with the mean
value of the group. The string current may only deviate from the group mean value by
up to a maximum of the set tolerance (in % of the group mean value). If the tolerance
is exceeded, then the excess value is totaled. This occurs at every polling interval of 5
minutes.
A tolerance value between 10 and 100 % of the group’s mean value must be defined
for each group.
The tolerance value can be set via the menu item "tolerance grp 1 - 3" of the menu
"SMU
Parameters"
.
"Device Set-up...SMUs...Parameters"
Information
As essentially only a clear deviation of a measuring channel from a mean
value is an indication of a faulty string, while minor deviations can be
considered as to be normal, the tolerance value should be set accordingly high
(e.g. 10 % or 20 %).
