Waiting
The inverter checks the grid requirements and whether enough voltage from the generator is available
to feed into the power distribution grid.
Standard Operation
The inverter feeds into the power distribution grid in either "MPP", "Constant Voltage" or "Turbine"
mode.
"MPP" mode: The Sunny Boy adjusts the voltage and the power from the PV array in order to receive
the highest possible PV output power.
"Constant Voltage" mode: The generator voltage is set to a fixed value by the user. This value is set
using the Sunny Boy Control or the Sunny Data Software. The parameter designation is "V-

mode is suitable for using the inverter with fuel cells or small hydroelectric power plants.
"Turbine" mode: This mode is suitable for using the inverter with a rectified DC generator and dynamic
power characteristic curve. The inverter can be adjusted to the form and the increase of the power
characteristic curve of a specific generator. A small wind power plant is a suitable generator for this.
If the feed-in to the power distribution grid was interrupted and then resumed, the inverter
always waits 5 minutes before feeding in.
If the inverter is not able to feed into power distribution grid three times in a row, it waits
10 minutes before the next attempt.
