6.5.1 Installation of the USB Service Interface
•
Disconnect the Windy Boy from the grid voltage. This is achieved either by pulling
the fuse in the domestic power supply, or by pulling out the AC connector of the
Windy Boy's grid connection.
•
Brake your wind turbine system.
•
Switch off the DC circuit breaker.
•
Wait for
30 minutes
before continuing, so that the internal voltages can
discharge.
•
Unscrew the four screws in the housing cover and remove the cover by pulling it
forward smoothly. At the same time disconnect the PE connection from the cover.
Loosen the locking on the PE connection on the cover when you remove it.
•
Connect the USB service interface to the Piggy-Back plug-in position, as shown in
the diagram below. The USB service interface must be plugged in, in such a
manner that it is aligned to the left. All pins except for the two on the lower right-
hand side are connected.
•
Connect the USB service interface's USB plug to the USB port on your PC.
•
Connect the DC plug connector. Ensure that you connect every plug to the correct
socket.
•
Release the brake on your wind turbine system.
•
Reconnect the Windy Boy to the grid.
