Instructions Small Unwinder
APPLICATIONS
The small unwinder is used to unwind labels from an adjustable core holder from 40mm (1.57”)
up to 76mm (3”) or on a core holder of 76mm (3”). The maximum diameter of the labels’ roll can
be 170mm (6.7”) while the maximum label width can be 120mm (4.72”).
POWER SUPPLY
An external power supply 100/240VAC - 2.5A at 24V allows an electronic circuit to provide,
through the tension arm, for the adjustment of the rotation’s speed that can be clockwise or
anticlockwise. A 2A fuse is used as protection.
FUNCTIONING
The printer must be put onto the unwinder’s plate, in this way the correct unwinding operations
are guaranteed and also the unwinder is fastened to the printer.
The clockwise (allows to unwind a roll with labels wound on the outside) and anticlockwise
(allows to unwind a roll with labels wound on the inside) rotations can be selected through the
switch

and two leds, yellow and green, show the sense of rotation.
The small unwinder has two types of speed adjustments; through a knob it is possible to decide
the main speed while the tension arm adjusts the speed from zero up to the main selected speed
value. When the tension arm is up, the unwinder turns at full speed, while when the tension arm
is down, the unwinder is idle.
When the roll runs out, the unwinder stops by uttering an acoustic signal.
