MANUAL CLEANING
RECOMMENDED STEPS:
1.
Prepare appropriate amount of cleaning solution (biofilm remover or enzymatic detergent
solution) in a sink, as per the manufacturer’s instructions.
2.
Remove hose/s to be cleaned from cabinet and place in sink.
3.
Make sure the hoses remain fully immersed throughout the cleaning process.
4.
Use a small soft brush to clean the connectors at each end of the hose.
5.
Wipe exterior surfaces of hoses with a nonabrasive and lint free cloth.
6.
Check that all visible debris have been removed.
7.
Attach hoses to a
Washer Rack Hose Connection Kit
.
8.
Use a syringe to push fresh solution through hoses and then flush out. Repeat a minimum of
two more times, do not flush out on last action.
9.
Achieve contact time with hoses submerged for the appropriate timeframe outlined in the
chosen cleaning solution IFU.
10.
Purge cleaning solution from channels while fully immersed.
11.
Repeat steps 7-10 until all hoses have been flushed and purged.
12.
Discard cleaning solution.
13.
Use a syringe to push fresh water through hoses to remove all cleaning solution.
14.
Thoroughly wash exterior of all hoses with fresh water to remove all traces of cleaning
solution.
15.
Remove hoses from sink and hold in a vertical position to allow water to drain out. Use a
syringe or medical air supplied air gun to purge any remaining water from the inside of the
hose.

Dry in a drying cabinet where possible.
b.
Dry with medical grade air where possible.
16.
Remove hoses from the
Washer Rack Hose Connection Kit.
17.
Hang hoses back inside endoscope cabinet connected to forced air for additional drying.
