MAINTENANCE
To maximize the performance of the floating fountain, periodically
disassemble to clean dirt and debris. When you notice a reduced flow from
the fountain, this is a good indicator that it is time to clean the fountain.
Step 1.
Before cleaning, always disconnect
from the power source.
Step 2.
Remove the string from the hook
to remove the pumpshield®. Clean the
pumpshield® with water.
Step 3.
Turn the floating fountain upside
down. Remove the locking screw as shown.
Step 4.
Twist the top section
counterclockwise. Then pull the top section
from the lower by removing the tubing from
the top section. You will need to unscrew
the wire connector on the inside of the
fountain to fully remove the top of the
fountain from the bottom.
Step 5.
Press the release button on the zip
tie to lift the pump out of the basket.
Step 6.
To clean the pump, remove the
impeller cover to expose the impeller
assembly. Remove the impeller assembly
by gently pulling on the impeller blades. The
impeller is held in place by a magnet. Use a
soft cloth or brush and warm water to clean
the impeller and the inside of the impeller
housing.
