4.3 Capacity Plus trunking network with NAI Data
(hybrid mode)
The system topology of the dispatch system connected to Capacity Plus is shown in the figure below. In this
mode, Data exchange with subscribers is carried out via the MOTOTRBO NAI protocol, voice messages and
control commands are transmitted and received via a pool of control stations. This mode is called Hybrid Mode
(Capacity Plus Hybrid).

The NAI DATA license must be installed on each repeater in the Capacity Plus network. Data exchange between
the radioserver and subscribers is carried out via the NAI protocol by means of the installed MNIS and DDMS
services.
Group Calls and Private Calls are transmitted using a pool of control stations. Each talkgroup that includes
dispatchers requires a separate control station. Additionally, one or multiple radios can be installed to make
Private Calls to subscribers. In the example above three control stations are used for initiating and receiving
Group Calls to Talkgroups 1, 2, and 4. Radio station 4 is used for initiating Private Calls to subscribers and
receiving Private Calls from them.
