6.5.2.1 “TREAD CONDITION REPORT”
Function
This function is used each time that you want to save
a detailed report of the vehicle’s tread condition.
Items 7, 8, 9, 10 store the data of every wheel,
assigning its position on the vehicle.

Assigns the position – left front wheel.

Assigns the position - right front wheel.

Assigns the position - left rear wheel.

Assigns the position - right rear wheel.

Deletes the last wheel position assigned.

Using the function:
Before removing the wheels from the vehicle,
in order to remember their position, mark each
wheel with its position.
Select FULL DIAGNOSTIC.
Perform the Measuring run.
After the run, with the items

to
10
(
Fig. 6-73
),
assign the position of the wheel on the vehicle.
Perform all the above for all the wheels
concerned.
Once the set of wheels is finished, print the data
stored in the memory (
Fig. 6-73.a
).
Select Item

to print
the TREAD CONDITIONS REPORT.
The Report shows the information previously shown on
the screen for each wheel and the notes for the tread.
6.5.2.2 “
OPTI LINE
” Menu
The reduction of the PULL caused by excessive
tread conicity and the reduction of the vibrations
transmitted by the wheels to the vehicle often cannot
be resolved with the balancing and the wheel setup.
The Set of Wheels function is available to this end in
the OPTI LINE Mode.
The OPTI LINE Mode is switched on by pressing the
Function key (

) and it can be executed
either in BALANCE WITH RUNOUT or FULL
DIAGNOSTIC mode.
See the “Set of Wheels” ( 6.6.1).
At the end of the procedure you can select whether
to reduce the “PULL” effect or reduce the effect of
the vibrations caused by the wheels.
