3.1 Inputs
3.1.1 USB / Power
The ACME-4 is powered through its USB port. Its consumption is fairly low, so going through a
USB hub is not a problem. When connected to a computer the USB port also allows communcation
between both devices. If you wish to use the ACME-4 stand-alone (without a computer) any standard
USB power supply can be used.
Btw, it is intentional that the USB cable supplied requires a little “determination” when plugged into
the ACME-4. Normal USB connections are somewhat shaky (at least the B type), and we wanted a
bit more reliability here.
3.1.2 Analog Clock Input
This input is used to synchronize the ACME-4 to an external analog clock. A special audio signal,
clocks from analog sequencers, or even square waves from an LFO can be used as clock sources.
