Global Configuration File
Some settings cannot be changed via the web interface. Such settings must be modified
via the global configuration file (Figure 2-3), a standard XML file that is encoded in
UTF-8. Unlike the majority of files that can be modified through the web interface, the
global configuration file contains many hidden settings which cannot be changed this
way. Changes to this file must be made through either the XML file or by handcrafting
a URL that contains the change. With either method, the three important components
are the address of the snom ONE system, the name of the setting, and the value. In the
sample URL shown below, the address is
pbx
, the setting is
setting
, and the value is
being changed to
123
.
Important
: Always make a backup before modifying the file!
