Switching point for unit control
The terminal must have an I/O card installed if you wish to forward the control values with the
interface, e.g. to a control light or to a control. The I/O card must be enabled with execute in setup
mode under Program Settings / Counting / IO Assignments. The output signals are assigned as
follows:
Switching point
Signal
S1
Weight value above toler.
S2
disabled
S3
Weight value within toler.
S4
Weight value below toler.
S5
Empty message
S6
Weight value above toler.
The individual inputs and outputs can be customized.
Record/print within or outside of tolerance
The release of a data record outside of a specified tolerance range can be prevented or accepted.
If a data record is released outside of the tolerance, it is marked with a special character. Release
or lock are set in setup mode under Program Settings / Counting / Record Outside of Tolerance.
Start mode
If start mode is enabled, the scale freezes the value after reaching the respectively enabled
switching point, and as a result also freezes the signal. The scale can be relieved without disabling
the switching point, and thus without unintentionally starting a new transaction. The frozen state
is only lifted by pressing the F6 Start key in the Control Functions level.
Enable start mode in setup mode under Program Settings / Counting / Start Mode.
End unit control
Press the key to start the 2nd level control functions and press the F5 Quantity Contr. key;
then delete with the F2 Delete key or delete everything with the key.
6.7.9 Counting with several weighing bridges
If several scales are connected, each scale can be used to determine the reference weight and to
count quantities. For best results, the reference weight should be determined on the scale with the
smallest number increments. Select the scale with Scale key.
After determining the reference weight, the switch can be made to a higher capacity bulk scale.
This way, larger quantities can be counted with the reference weight determined on the reference
scale.
Automatic switching:
A preferred reference scale can be specified in setup mode.
The switch between the bulk and the reference scale is then accomplished automatically.
Place the reference quantity on the reference scale and press the Ref 10 key or the Ref Variable
key. The display switches to the preferred reference scale, and the reference weight is determined.
The switch is then made to the bulk scale to determine the quantity.
As a variance to this, if you wish to use the reference scale to also perform the count in addition to
determining the reference weight, you will need to manually switch from the bulk scale to the
reference scale before determining the reference weight.
