6.3 Connect Input/Output power
The UPS has hardwire terminal blocks for input and output electrical connections. Optional output distribution
modules permit connecting additional loads to the UPS. These optional plug-and-play distribution modules offer
different types and numbers of connection plugs.

The UPS must be completely powered down before beginning to make these electrical connections.
6.3.1 Distribution Module Electrical Connections
Electrical connections are made through a removable conduit box that attaches to the rear of the UPS.
The installer must provide a 60A branch circuit breaker. The input circuit breaker and the output circuit breaker on
the rear fixed-panel of the UPS disconnect all power between the main cabinet and the distribution box.
The manual bypass switch passes utility power directly to the bypass switch from the input terminal block. The
input circuit breaker does not disconnect power from the manual bypass switch.

CaUTION
A disconnect switch shall be provided by others for AC input circuit. To reduce the risk of fire, connect
only to a circuit provided with branch circuit over-current protection for 60 amperes rating in
accordance with the National Electric Code, ANSI/NFPA 70.
