INTRODUCTION:
• The Shiatsu technique refers to the use of the fingers and palms of the hand
to apply pressure to certain areas of the body to maintain and increase
health. It is also a method for helping to cure specific diseases.
• Shiatsu stimulates the parasympathetic nervous system, which relaxes the
body and activates the immunological system by mobilising defences and
producing a feeling of wellbeing.
• The main therapeutic effects of this type of massage are as follows:
* Releases muscle tension
* Improves blood circulation
* Stimulates the circulation of body liquids
* Stimulates self-regulation of the body
* Treats various disorders: insomnia, stress, agitation, nervousness, headaches,
migraine, neck pain, back pain, waist pain, joint pains, muscle tension…
IMPORTANT:
• Please read these instructions before switching on the appliance.
• Check that the voltage in your home matches that stated on the specifica-
tions plate on the appliance.
• Unplug the appliance when it is not in use. To unplug it, pull on the plug,
not the cable.
• Do not use the appliance near a bath, shower or swimming pool. Do not
use it while taking a bath or shower.
• Do not try to pick up the appliance if you accidentally drop it in water;
unplug it immediately.
• Do not plug in or unplug the appliance while it is still in use.
• Keep it out of the reach of children and the disabled.
• Do not use in areas with cuts, burns, inflammation, rashes, ulcers, varicose
veins or other disorders.
• Pregnant women and people with pacemakers, thrombosis or unexplained
pain should consult their doctor before using the appliance.
• Do not use the machine in the abdominal area if you are in pain or on the
carotid artery on the right or left of the neck.
• The massage should be pleasant and agreeable. If you notice pain or dis-
comfort at any time, stop using the machine and consult your doctor.
• Do not use this appliance for purposes not given in these instructions.
