Use
Ironing
1 With the iron unplugged, open the filling inlet (5), and fill the tank with
water using the cup included (13) and while keeping the iron at a slight
downward angle (fig. 2). When the tank is full, close the cap.
When filling the tank, make sure that water does not overflow from the
filling inlet.
Use water only, without adding any detergents, perfumes, vinegar or any
chemical product. You can use tap water, unless it is extremely hard
water, in which case it is best to use distilled or demineralised water.
2 Plug the iron into the mains. To produce steam, you must place the
temperature selector (9) between the levels •• and medium and MAX.
When the heating indicator light (10) turns off, indicating that the desired
temperature has been reached, press the steam pushbutton (8) to
produce a spray of steam (fig. 3).
Press the pushbutton as many times as desired. We recommend doing
so at 5-second intervals. Direct the steam towards the desired area of
the garment, and then slide the soleplate over to dry it. Thus is useful for
eliminating wrinkles.
Vertical steam
This allows you to remove wrinkles from delicate garments without having to put
them on an ironing board: jackets, overcoats, curtains, etc.
1 Fill the water tank as explained in the “Ironing” section.
2 Place the garment on a hanger, away from other garments, people,
objects, animals, etc.
Do not spray steam onto a garment hanging in a wardrobe or on a
person.
3 Place the temperature selector (9) in the MAX position.
4 Bring the iron close to the garment in the vertical position (about 15-30
cm away), and press the steam pushbutton (8) once. Do not position the
iron too close to the garment, because you could damage it. (fig. 4)
5 Wait a few seconds before pressing the pushbutton (8) again to prevent
the garment from being damaged. Most wrinkles can be eliminated with
three sprays of steam.
