TEMPERATURE LIMITING VALVE
An E5X series 50°C limited water heater is fitted with a temperature limiting valve at the outlet. The valve is
set so the water temperature from the fixtures used primarily for personal hygiene does not exceed 50°C.
The valve should be checked for performance every twelve months. This can be performed by using a
thermometer to measure the water temperature from the hot tap used primarily for personal hygiene nearest
to the water heater. If the water being delivered is at a temperature exceeding 50°C, phone your nearest
Solahart Dealer to arrange for an inspection.
The valve must be replaced at intervals not exceeding five (5) years, or more frequently in areas where there
is a high incidence of water deposits (refer to
on page 18). Failure to do this may result in
water at a temperature up to 80°C being delivered at the hot tap, increasing the risk of scald injury.
