6.6 Wiring the Printed Circuit Board (PCB)
1. Prior to performing any wiring, be sure to discharge any static
on your person by touching a grounded metal object such as a
conduit or an earth grounded metal enclosure.
2. Wire / cabled through holes:
•
Three holes need to be drilled into the enclosure wall that is the
closest to the screw down terminals at the bottom of the PCB.
•
The first hole is for the AC power wires
•
The second hole is for the current transformer (CT) wires
•
The third hole is for the RS485 cable
3. Outdoor mounted Solar-Log 10 Meter: Conduits, holes, conduit
slip nuts, and remaining enclosure openings must be sealed with
UL rated sealer or plugging devices.
4. Temperature rating of insulation of the wires shall be higher than
75˚C
5. Connecting AC power: the AC power terminal connections are
labeled “Phase A”, “N” (neutral), “Phase B”, “N”, and “Phase C”,
above the “MAIN POWER INPUTS” label.
