Safety, Installation, and Operations Manual

  1.

  INTRODUCTION

This document provides safety, installation, and operations information for Solaria Photovoltaic
Frameless modules 210, 220, and 230.

Read this document before installing, wiring, or using this product. Failure to comply with these
instructions will invalidate the Solaria Limited Warranty and may cause loss, damage, and/or injury.

1.1.

  LIMITED WARRANTY

The Solaria Corporation Limited Warranty for PV Modules is described in

The Solaria Corporation

Warranty Certificate Document.

  2.

  SAFETY

 2.1.

  GENERAL SAFETY

Solaria modules are qualified for Application Class A: Hazardous voltage (IEC 61730: higher than 50V
DC; EN61730: higher than 120V), hazardous power applications (higher than 240W) where general
contact access is anticipated (modules qualified for safety through EN IEC 61730-1 and -2 within this
application class are considered to meet the requirements for Safety Class II).

Modules produce direct current (DC) when exposed to light. Direct current can arc across gaps and
may cause injury or death if improper connection or disconnection is made, or if contact is made with
exposed leads.

OBSERVE THE FOLLOWING PRECAUTIONS TO MAINTAIN YOUR SAFETY

Before installing, wiring, or using modules, read all safety instructions in this document.

Follow all label instructions.

Do not connect or disconnect modules when current from the modules or an external source is

present.

Cover modules with an opaque sheet before making or breaking electrical connections.

Do not expose modules to additional, artificially concentrated, high intensity sunlight.

Use insulated tools to reduce the risk of electric shock. Do not touch terminals with your

bare hands.

Do not install or handle modules when they are wet or during periods of high wind.

Do not stand on, drop, or allow objects to fall onto modules.
