Connection to the medium voltage Compact Station
DANGER!
Fatal electric shock hazard!
■
■
Make sure that the DC and AC supply cables are de-energized.
5.3.1 Connecting conditions
The following connection conditions apply to both single-tracking and multi-tracking
compact stations.
■
■
Connection type: M12 threaded bolt (M12 cable lugs)
■
■
Connection of up to 8 AC cables per phase
■
■
Permissible cable diameters in the cable pass-through: 12 ... 31 mm
■
■
Maximum current:
Compact Station (master / slave station)
Maximum current [A]
SM3300TS-SV Compact Station
702
SM660TS-SV Compact Station
1404
SM360TS-SV Compact Station
666
SM720TS-SV Compact Station
1332
■
■
Max. cable length between the Compact Station and medium voltage transformer: 30
m
■
■
When 2 Compact Stations are connected to the same medium voltage compact sta-
tion, the two AC supply conductors must be of equal length.
■
■
On the AC side, the Compact Station does not have overvoltage protection. You should
size the overvoltage protection on the AC side in accordance with overvoltage cate-
gory 2.
■
■
In order to make it possible to completely power down the Compact Station on the AC
side, an AC circuit breaker or an NH fuse circuit breaker must be provided in the
medium voltage compact station.
– Specification of AC circuit breaker / NH fuse circuit breaker:
