Establishing
Ethernet
Connectivity
Before
SolrenView
web
‐
based
monitoring
can
function
the
inverter
must
be
networked
to
the
Internet.
Customers
ordering
the
SolrenView
AIR
3G
Router
have
network
connectivity
turned
on
in
the
factory;
no
additional
steps
are
required.
WARNING:
Before
conducting
any
maintenance
or
service
on
the
PV
System
the
inverter
disconnect
switches
must
be
set
to
the
“OFF”
position
and
the
absence
of
voltage
must
be
verified
by
qualified
personnel.
Do
not
rely
on
HMI
functions
to
stop
the
inverter
as
a
reset
might
cause
the
inverter
to
start
unexpectedly.
To
connect
the
inverter
to
the
network
in
preparation
for
using
SolrenView
web
‐
based
monitoring:
1.
Locate
the
Ethernet
port
on
the
back
of
the
SolrenView
gateway.

2.
Install
a
CAT5,
CAT5e,
or
CAT6
networking
cable
between
the
SolrenView
gateway
and
router/switch/firewall.
If
molded
cables
cannot
be
used
we
suggest
using
a
network
cable
tester
to
ensure
cable
and
crimp
quality.
Ethernet
port
