Quick Start Guide for SOLON SOLraise
Note
Please consult the SOLON SOLraise installation manual for complete installation and safety instruc-
tions. Make sure that you have correctly understood all instructions in the SOLON SOLraise installa-
tion manual and be sure to follow these for all installation work. Failure to do this presents a danger
of personal injury or death and the risk of material damage to the devices. Only use this abbreviated
version of the installation manual after you have fully read and understood the full version of the
SOLON SOLraise installation manual.
Connecting the SOLON SOLraise modules to a module string
Caution!
Make sure that the inverter ON/OFF switch and the AC circuit breaker are both set to OFF while
installing the inverter.
Connect the DC outputs of the SOLON SOLraise modules in series:
a. The minimum string length is 8 SOLON SOLraise modules
b. Do not connect more than 5.2 kW in a single string to a single phase inverter
c. Parallel strings do not need to be the same length
Check the connections. Before the inverter is switched on, the SOLON SOLraise modules each
supply a safety voltage of 1 V that you should check with a voltmeter. The total measured volt-
age of the string should
be the number of modules multiplied by 1 V, with a permissible deviation of 0.1 V per module
(e.g. 20 modules * 1 V= approx. 20 V).
To make full use of the SOLON SOLraise Monitoring Portal, you must record the mounting loca-
tion and serial number of every SOLON SOLraise module in the string plan. To do this, remove
the rectangular barcode sticker, apply it to the physical layout template or a sketch of the string
plan and send this via e-mail to
