Operation of the device in a manner not intended by the manufacturer may affect the protection provided by the
device.
2.2 Intended use
The tables of the HPLC series are products according to the Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC (complete machine).
The electrically height-adjustable tables of the HPLC series are lifting devices for raising and lowering the integrated
work surface.
The tables are technical work equipment and not intended for private use.
The table must be placed on a flat, horizontal surface.
The device may only be used in clean and dry rooms.
The limit values for temperature and humidity during transport, storage and operation specified under 3.4 „Technical
data“ on page 20 must not be exceeded or undercut.
The height-adjustable table is not suitable for lifting people.
The table must not be used in potentially explosive atmospheres, especially in areas enriched with oxygen, combusti-
ble anesthetics (class AP) or combustible anesthetics with oxidizing agents (class APG).
Use the table only within the specifications specified in this manual.
The valid accident guarding regulations according to each country must be considered.
The device may only be repaired by a specialist.
2.3 Non-intended use
A non-intended use is given when the equipment is treated in any way that is contrary to any of the points from the
chapter 2.2 „Intended use“ on page 16.
If the lifting tables are not used as intended, handled improperly and used, assembled or handled by untrained per-
sonnel, hazards may arise for personnel from the lifting tables.
The moving of persons with this lifting table, as an example of improper use, is prohibited. In case of improper use
the liability of the manufacturer as well as the general operating permit of the lifting table expires.
2.4 Examples of foreseeable misuse
Overloading of the table by exceeding the maximum permissible mass.
Outdoor use.
Use in environments with high humidity > dew point.
Use in rooms with explosive atmospheres according to ATEX directive.
Opening the lifting columns or the electrical system of the table.
Use on insufficiently safe ground.
Use with damaged supply lines or mechanics.
2.5 Who may use and operate the lifting tables
Physically and mentally healthy persons who have fully read and understood the instructions for use may use and
operate these tables as long as they are not affected by medication or drugs.
