Troubleshooting Guidelines
Understanding Speech While Eating
If you experience the sound of your own chewing and
swallowing as too loud during meals, just take one
hearing aid out, temporarily. The same applies if you
find you are also having trouble understanding speech
while eating.
No Sound
•
Ensure the battery is inserted correctly and the
battery compartment door is fully closed.
•
Replace the battery.
•
Ensure there is no wax or debris in the ear wax filter.
If needed, clean according to the instructions on
page 13.
Not Loud Enough
•
Replace the battery.
•
Ensure there is no wax or debris in the ear wax filter.
If needed, clean according to the instructions on
page 13.
•
Ensure the hearing aid is properly positioned in the
ear canal.
•
Excessive earwax can prevent sound from entering
the ear. Contact your physician.
•
Changes to your hearing status can affect how well you
hear with hearing aids. Contact your Sonetik Specialist
if you suspect any change in your hearing status.
