Operation
Lifting the vehicle.
1. Assemble handle, ensure that spring clips
align with slots.
2. With the narrow end of the jack handle,
close the release valve tightly by turning it
clockwise.
3. Place jack under the vehicle at the proper lift-
ing point. If needed, turn the extension screw
counterclockwise until it comes into contact
with vehicle.
4. Insert jack handle into handle socket. Pump
the handle to lift the vehicle to the desired
height.
5. Immediately secure lifted load with appropri-
ately rated jack stands.
Warning:
Use only the handle provided by jack
manufacturer. The handle provided with this jack
will safely engage the release valve. If handle is
worn, operates abnormally, or will not positively
engage the release valve, stop, discontinue use
of the jack until a factory replacement handle
can be acquired. Do not use an extender on the
operating handle.
Lowering the vehicle
1. Remove handle, use small end to open the
release valve. (To open release valve, turn it
slowly in a counterclockwise direction.)
Note:
Do not open release valve more than
one full turn.
2. When vehicle is fully lowered, remove jack. If
the extension screw has been extended, turn
it clockwise until it retracts enough to move
the jack away from the vehicle. When more
than one jack is used at the same time, it is
important to operate the diff erent jacks at an
equal speed with equal load.
3. After removing jack from under the load, push
saddle down to reduce ram exposure to rust
and contamination.
Caution:
Lower vehicle slowly!
Turn release valve slowly!
