9. 2. 2. Description of Relay Box Operation (MANU operation)
(a) During system maintenance, move the hoist up and down using the manual up-down
switch.
When the switch is held down, the hoist moves, and when the switch is released, the
hoist stops.
Note: Before carrying out this work, set the AUTO/MANU toggle switch to MANU.
(b) During system maintenance, if the AUTO/MANU toggle switch is set to MANU, the
abovementioned up-down switch will be in an operable status. After performing
maintenance and inspection work, be sure to set the toggle switch to AUTO. When
the switch is at the AUTO side, it is possible to operate the system from the indicator.
9. 2. 3. Description of Operation of the Emergency Shutdown Button
(on the side of the relay box)
The emergency shutdown button is pressed during a hoisting operation in order to
prevent danger.
Note:
If the emergency shutdown button is pressed during an AUTO operation, the hoisting
operation will stop. To resume operation, press the UP or DOWN switch on the
i
ndicator
once again.
If the emergency shutdown button is pressed during a MANU operation while the UP or
DOWN button remains pressed, the hoist will remain stopped as long as the switch is
pressed, but will continue moving as soon as the switch is released, so be careful.
9. 2. 4. Automatic Lifting
This instrument contains an automatic lifting circuit for the transducer. When the
transducer is at the lower limit, or even in an intermediate position, if the OFF key
of the controllers pressed, the hoist will automatically rise, and after the transducer
becomes housed in the fixed position, the power will be cut off. For safety’s sake, when
carrying out maintenance, for example, be sure to first set the AUTO-MANU toggle
switch to MANU so as to cancel automatic hoisting, and then carry out work on the
instrument.
