Function of the gravity brakes
The gravity brakes are integrated into the flow [1] and
return ball valves [2]. Actuate by turning the ball valve
handles.
Operating position:
To prevent the circulation of gravitational force, the valve
disc must not be cracked open. The gravity brakes are in
the operating position when the handles are vertical.
Draining/filling:
To fill and completely drain the solar energy system, open
the gravity brakes by turning the handles to the right.
The handles are at a 45° angle.
"Closed" position:
Turn the handles clockwise by 90°.
The ball valves are closed. The handles are in the hori-
zontal position.
