The first item lets you select the
Dispense Mode
. Here you can select the system to use the
spraying action instead of the more gentle dispensing actuation when printing. This is
occasionally used to coat larger areas with a less controlled spray of material.
Then there are three selectable options for how the pattern is to be printed. The first instructs
the system to sense out the height of the surface before printing each item. This is potentially
useful when printing onto curved or irregular surfaces.
The system can then be instructed to stay at the last location in a pattern when done, as
opposed to the normal process of returning to the start on print completion with the second
option.
The third option lets the system optimize the pattern printing. Usually in a right to left, top to
bottom motion.
This window also allows you to override the dwell time when printing droplets. The units are in
milliseconds.
When dispensing a pattern, the control software retracts the positioner a set distance after the
completion of a feature. That distance can be set in the
Item retraction height
box. A
larger distance may be required for larger-aperture dispensers or for more irregularly shaped
surfaces, while a smaller distance can lead to the faster dispensing of a pattern using a smaller
