The red line indicates the threshold for surface sensing. If the signal is not strong enough to
cross this threshold, the software will not detect contact of the dispenser with the surface. In that
case, recalibrate the surface sensor as described in the previous section.
When retracted from the surface, the signal should sharply drop off once again.
If this behavior is not observed, repeat the calibration and try again.
This sensor feedback can be monitored at any time while working with the dispenser, and can
be useful when moving the dispenser around manually in order to verify that contact has been
made with a surface when dispensing.
