4.9 Supercal 5S (Flowmeter included) installing consideration
Before installation
Check the design layout data of the installation.
The calculator's electrical pulse value and the installation location must match the
values indicated on the flow sensor and consult the identification plate!
The permissible ambient temperature range of the calculator is 5 - 55 ºC.
The installation and project prescriptions must be followed.
The readability of the calculator and also the identification plates must be followed.
The flow sensor should be mounted BEFORE any control valve to exclude any potential
parasitic influences.
During commissioning, the pipe system must be purged. The air in the structure of the
flow sensor may affect the measurement.
Use only new and appropriate sealing material.
The water tightness of the different connections should be verified.
Lightning protection cannot be ensured; this protection has to be guaranteed by the
house installation.
4.9.1 Horizontal Mounting Position
The sensor head MUST be placed to the side +/- 45° to the pipe axis to avoid influences of
air in-clusions (top) or dirt (bottom).
