Making a Wired Connection with a Computer

Start from the display shown in “When the
IP Address is not assigned automatically.”
Input of the IP Address, Subnet Mask and
Default Gateway is required for the
configuration. Before starting, contact your
network administrator.

Press the

commander to select “Simple Setting”
then press the ENTER key.
The message “Simple Setting started.”
appears on the screen.

The following menu appears:

commander to select “IP Address”
then press the ENTER key.
The on-screen keyboard appears.

Enter “IP Address” with the on-screen
keyboard. Input “Subnet Mask” and
“Default Gateway” as well.
For the procedure for using the on-
screen keyboard, see “Using the On-
Screen Keyboard” on page 23.
When you complete the settings, the
following menu is displayed on the
screen:

Press the ENTER key to quit “Simple
Setting.”
The specified IP Address is displayed
under “Network Address.”
• If the entered IP Address is not correct, the
connection will not be made even if the IP
Address is shown under “Network Address.”
• If you entered an incorrect IP Address, you
cannot correct the setting with “Simple
Setting.” In this case, initialize the settings,
referring to “Initializing the Network
Setting” on page 22, then configure the
settings again with “Configuring Using
Simple Setting” on page 15. You can also use
the menu to set the IP Address, referring to
“Configuring the Network Settings Using the
Menu” on page 19.
