Turn on the main power of the MAV-70XGI.

Start up TeraTermPro (version 2.3).

6.

The Tera Term New connection display appears. Click “serial” and press the 

[OK]

 button.

7.

Select the respective boards as listed below from the menu of the MAV-70 using Service/Execute/

Boards/EXT232C.

Type VER in capital letters and press the 

[Enter]

 key. Version number of the selected circuit

board is displayed.

When capacity of a HDD is 73 GB or larger, refer to the CD-ROM supplied with the HDD regarding

the specification of the latest version.

If the version numbers of the respective circuit boards are earlier than those listed above, the circuit

boards must be upgraded of their versions. Contact your local Sony Sales Office/Service Center for the

latest versions.

When any circuit board is upgraded of its version, be sure to re-start the MAV-70XGI.

When capacity of a HDD is 73 GB or larger, refer to the CD-ROM supplied with the HDD for the

procedure how to upgrade the versions to the latest ones.
