PHANTOM PROTECT (BKS-R1617A/R3219A)
Set how the processing will be performed when the PROTECT
is on in the destination during switching of the PHANTOM.
PART PROT=
Switch on the PHANTOM without
PROTECT turned on.
This mode is used normally.
FULL PROT=
Switching of all PHANTOM is not
performed if there is any with the
PROTECT turned on for the switching.
Use this mode if you think there is no
use of switching when there are places
that do not switch.
n
When a destination other than the control destination
only is protected, the display shows “Protect ID=000”.
BUTTON LINK= Do not switch all PHANTOM when
the PROT key is on in the panel.
Use this mode if you would like to use the
PHANTOM switch just like another
source switch without thinking as PHAN-
TOM switch. You can see if switching is
possible or not by looking if the PROT key
is on or not, making it easy to understand.
PANEL MODE (BKS-R1617A/R3219A)
When the number of buttons on one panel is not enough,
setting the mother-daughter configuration enables the multiple
panels to perform as a single panel. Up to ten mother-daughter
pairs can be set. Models such as BKS-R3216, BKS-R1617A,
and BKS-R3219A are used as a daughter panel.
STAND ALONE= Used as a stand-alone panel.
This mode is used normally.
MOTHER=
Used as a mother panel.
The panel is set as a mother panel,
and the number of the keys can be
increased as much as the number of those
on the added daughter panels. Up to ten
mother panels can be set, while there is no
limit for the number of daughter panels.
DAUGHTER=
Used as a daughter panel.
The panel is set as a daughter panel.
Set the mother-daughter configura-
tion as follows.
DISPLAY MODE (BKS-R1617A/R3219A)
Set up what the key display of the panel to be based on.
STATUS to light the source currently selected based on the
cross-point information is normally used. This mode can
light the keys of current status even if it is switched from
other panel.
Use the PROMPT mode to simply light up the button that
was pressed when you want to light the key for phantom
setting with no relationship to cross-point information.
STATUS= Display based on the newest cross-point
information. It will light up if there is a
pertinent SOURCE name in the set key name.
PROMPT= Key will light up the moment it is pressed. It
is useful in case PHANTOM is assigned.
PROTECT MODE (BKS-R1617A/R3219A)
Set how it is handled during the PROTECT for each panel.
Use NORMAL if there is any particular reason.
Lighting of the PROT key does not change regardless of
the mode.
ON AIR=
Switching is possible even during PRO-
TECT. The panel is used as a selector
during ON AIR. Set the panel used as a
selector to ON AIR and set other panels to
NORMAL. When PROTECT is turned on,
other panels are prohibited from switching,
but the ON AIR panel can be switched
freely. The LOCK key is also useful to
disallow switching from the ON AIR panel.
NORMAL=
Disallow switching during PROTECT.
This mode is used normally.
FLEXIBLE=
This can clear the PROTECT of other
stations too.
Normally, PROTECT can only be cleared
on other stations from the primary station.
However, this setting can be used to clear
the PROTECT of other stations.
This method is used is that if you have
turned on the PROTECT and forgot to
clear it, or the PROTECT was turned on
unintentionally and you need to find
where it was turned on to clear it. PRO-
TECT can easily be cleared in these
situations by setting a panel to FLEXI-
BLE. Use it like a master panel.
FLEX & OA= Function of both 1: ON AIR and 3:
FLEXIBLE can be used simultaneously.
