Setting the equalizer
You can select an equalizer curve for five
music types (Rock, Vocal, Groove, Techno, and
Custom).
You can store and adjust the equalizer settings
for frequency and level.
Selecting the equalizer curve

Press
(SOURCE)
to select a source (tuner,
CD, or MD).

(SOUND)
repeatedly until “EQ”
appears.
Each time you press
(SOUND)
, the item
changes as follows.

to select
the desired equalizer curve.
Each time you press
(SEEK/AMS)

To cancel the equalizing effect, select “off.”
After three seconds, the display returns to
the normal playback mode.

The volume is adjustable by 1 dB steps
from –12 dB to +12 dB.
To restore the factory-set equalizer curve,

(ENTER)
for two seconds.

twice.
When the effect setting is complete, the
normal playback mode appears.
